Father, Brothers and Sisters,
Wishing all of you the best on this, the Patronal Feast Day of our Parish! Attached is the bulletin for this week. Here are also the links to where we will be streaming Divine Liturgy, along with several other links to other parishes and monasteries that stream the services they are performing. Praying that our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ keeps all of you in good health (both mental and physical) and that He may richly bless all of you in this time of enforced separation.
St Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church (us): https://stmarylive.blogspot.com/, www.periscope.tv/w/1pikqmziwbbke, and https://bit.ly/stmaryegy.pt Other parishes and monasteries are also offering live streaming for their services, including: St Mary Orthodox Church, Cambridge, MA: http://www.stmaryorthodoxchurch.org/multimedia/live Hermitage of the Holy Cross Monastery: https://www.holycross.org/blogs/news/monastery-livestreaming-all-services-throughout-coronavirus-epidemic St George Cathedral, Charleston, WV (for those of you who remember him, this is where Fr Joseph Hazar now serves): https://www.stgeorgecharleston.org/streaming Holy Transfiguration Monastery: http://www.orthodoxmonasteryellwoodcity.org/chapel All Saints Orthodox Church: http://www.allsaintsbloomington.org/ Remember that worship is NOT a spectator sport. By definition, we are to be participants in liturgy (“the work of the people”). So, when you utilize these online liturgical services, try NOT to ‘watch’ them like you would view some theatrical production, movie or regular TV show. Don’t sit there, sipping a drink, eating popcorn or holding conversation over it; instead, pray, stand, bow or make prostrations as appropriate and according to your ability. ‘Enter into’ the service as much as possible, even though you can’t be there physically. With deep love for all of you in Christ, Charles
