Palm Sunday - April 25, 2021
10:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy (Procession with palms).
Theme: The triumphant entry of our Lord into Jerusalem before his voluntary
death. “We like the children carry the palms of victory” in Procession. Palms
will be blessed and distributed to the faithful for the Procession.
6:30 p.m. Bridegroom Service
Theme: The righteous Joseph (of the Old Testament) and the Fig Tree, which
was cursed by the Lord. The Procession with the icon of Christ, the Bridegroom
of the Church, takes place.
Holy Monday - April 26, 2021
6:30 p.m. Bridegroom Service
Theme: The ten virgins waiting for the Bridegroom
Holy Tuesday - April 27, 2021
6:30 p.m. Bridegroom Service
Theme: The woman who anointed the head and feet of our Lord with myrrh,
wiping them with her hair, contrasted with the treachery of Judas and his
betrayal of Christ.
Holy Wednesday - April 28, 2021
6:30 p.m. Service of Holy Unction
Theme: Repentance and healing of soul and body. The Sacrament is
administered only to Orthodox Christians.
Holy Thursday - April 29, 2021
10:00 a.m. Vesperal Divine Liturgy of St Basil
Theme: the Lord’s Supper, when Jesus ate the Passover with his disciples.
6:30 p.m. Passion Service, Great & Holy Thursday (Reading of the
Twelve Gospels)
Theme: The Passion of our Lord and the confession of the thief. Procession
with the Cross commemorates Christ’s voluntary Crucifixion.
Great & Holy Friday - April 30, 2021
3:00 p.m. Great & Holy Friday Great Vespers
Theme: The trial and crucifixion of Christ. We should all make an effort to
spend this day in Church, heeding our Lord’s words to “watch and pray”.
Children may be excused from school. During Vespers, Christ is taken down
from the cross and placed in the decorated tomb.
6:30 p.m. Great Holy Friday Evening, Lamentations and
Procession with the Bier
Theme: the Burial of Christ by Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus and the Myrrh-
bearing Women. We sing the glorious Hymns of Praise of the buried Christ, and
we process with the Bier.
Great and Holy Saturday – May 1, 2021 - Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
10:00 a.m. Welcoming Joel and Jagger Saxon into the church through the
Sacrament of Holy Baptism
10:00 p.m. Holy Pascha Service of Rush, Matins & Holy Resurrection

Sunday, May 2 -Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
Sunday at noon we celebrate Agape Great Vespers, proclaiming the Gospel of the Resurrection in many languages. Please let Amal know if you are able to participate and read a language. The reading is from John 20:19-25. So far we have English, Arabic, German and Greek.
Following the Agape service everyone is invited to Mark & Bobby Cornelius’s home for a pitch in meal
